🌍 Gorillas to Helicopters to the Arctic: My Favourite Global Gigs 🎬

I’ve been lucky enough to work all over the world — across five continents — and each project has brought something unforgettable (and often slightly mad).

South Africa will always hold a special place in my heart. My favourite memory has to be an ITV2 challenge show — working with one of Hollywood’s leading animal impersonators (and a cast of animatronic gorillas and chimpanzees 🦍). Chaotic? Absolutely. Brilliant? Without question.

Oh, and let’s not forget sunbathing with penguins in Cape Town. 🐧☀️
Work goals. Absolute work goals.

I also worked there on Limitless for Red Bull TV, alongside the unbelievably talented Darcy Oake and Patrick Kun. It’s where I really cut my teeth on high-risk stunts and illusions — prosthetics, helicopters, deep-sea dives, a coffin drop (yes, really 😅), and free-fall jumps with a Red Bull world champion. Exhilarating, terrifying, and one of those gigs you’d go back to in a heartbeat.

Then came Thunderbirds in New Zealand — nostalgic, complex, beautifully talent-led, and a total dream project. The logistics alone were an art form — but when you grow up loving something and then get to help recreate it, it hits differently. 🚀

I once worked on the development for a presenter-led adventure series called Land of the Midnight Sun, which travelled through North America, Canada, the Arctic, Iceland, and Greenland. ❄️ The logistics were insane — safety, transport, and kit in sub-zero conditions — but it taught me lessons I still use on almost every project today.

And then there’s Europe — oh, Europe. From chasing DJs who’d gone rogue offstage to yoni steaming with Vogue and Joanne (don’t ask 😂), it’s been a blur of sunshine, chaos, and pure entertainment gold. Keeping crews hydrated, kit cool, and everyone smiling has become a full-time sport. ☀️

Finally, Saudi Arabia — another huge chapter. I was privileged to be Live Producer and Line Producer for the inaugural MDL Beast Festival in 2019 — the country’s first major international music event. It was groundbreaking, challenging, and honestly one of the proudest moments of my career. Being one of the few women in a senior role was both humbling and empowering — and I’ll never forget the sense of achievement when that show went live to the world. 🌍🎧

So yes, 2025 might be quieter than usual… but looking back, I’m reminded how extraordinary this journey has been. Every challenge, every country, every show — they’ve all shaped the producer I am today. 💛
