I’m coming up to the end of my Divemaster scholarship, which has been an incredible few months, from assisting on diving courses to completing my deep diving speciality, and even stepping in as a safety diver during HUET training. It’s given me new confidence in the water and a fresh perspective on how much I love connecting people with the ocean. 🌊
From October, I’ll be looking for my next adventure, ideally in ocean and nature storytelling or conservation communications. I’d love to bring together my diving experience with my background in media, where I’ve had the chance to:
- Work as a Researcher & Content Coordinator on Open Planet
- Edit produce a film for the Whitley Fund for Nature Awards
- Support on an observational documentary feature film as Edit Researcher
- Step in on shoots as sound recordist, 2nd camera, including a tank shoot
- Create digital and social media content to showcase projects
What really excites me is script writing, shaping narratives, and showcasing the voices of inspiring people doing vital work for our planet and if diving is part of the role, that’s an extra bonus. 🤿
I’m open to both full-time and part-time roles where I can help tell stories that engage and educate. I’d be glad to connect, and would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on opportunities (always happy to chat it over a coffee ☕).
