Next week I’m heading to the Edinburgh TV Festival for the first time - stepping well outside my comfort zone - and far from my usual festival vibe. In fact, I’ve never put myself into a formal networking arena before so this is destined to be a sink-or-swim moment. Let's see!
As a journalist and producer, I’ve spent 12+ years in unscripted, chasing and telling the stories that matter to me and that I think will matter to others. But I live my most exciting life vicariously - through bringing other people’s stories to life. So the idea of putting myself out there feels wildly overwhelming.
My passion lies in making high-end programmes that connect emotionally, challenge perspectives, and find audiences who care as much as the team making them. I specialise in bold, access-led factual that puts people first: from intimate observational docs to multi-part factual series, and always with an ear for narrative detail and the stamina to see a project through from pitch to final cut.
