Talented TM-ers on TV - our second post featuring TM Talent working on “Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power", available now on BBC iPlayer.
Meet @KandiseAbiola , Producer:
"Working on this show, I learnt to trust in my instincts more with contributors & the narrative of the story.
I had worked on another BBC 3 programme with the same Commissioning Editors, Max Gogarty & Carl Callam. They put my name forward to Dragonfly. BBC 3 & Dragonfly TV were very supportive & easy to talk to about the structure & narrative of the film. During this project, I was dealing with my own personal trauma of experiencing racism within the industry & they supported me by offering me someone to talk to outside of the project.
My Top TV tip is to always be ahead of the story and to keep asking yourself questions, why are we filming this, what are we getting from this scene etc"
