Anyone working in TV will know that a credit doesn't always tell the full story of someone's contribution to a project.
As someone with a non-English name and background, I’ve privately been told that some people in the industry have questioned whether I can fully do my job - specifically whether I’m able to write, co-write, or confidently offer script suggestions to an edit producer. I’ll never know how many opportunities I may have missed out on because of that assumption.
So to see my writing work recognised on screen feels slightly surreal, and means more to me than this production team will ever realise.
Now you know. I’m one of those editors who writes...and I'll proudly shout about it!
