The Trailer for ‘Rust’ has dropped.
Yes that one with Alec Baldwin and the fatal incident on set.
It does look wholly unremarkable.
And bad taste considering what happened.
Does anyone think it should have been abandoned?

@NickNorton I think so. I saw an interview with Halyna Hutchins' mother, and she very clearly expressed that she does not support the release of the film. She also mentioned that Alec Baldwin has yet to reach out to her. While that could be under legal advisement on his part, it still raises the question: if they don't have the family's full blessing, it feels ghoulish and just an attempt to recoup some money via notoriety.

I didn’t realise that the family are against the release.makes it much worse. I can imagine it would be quite upsetting for them rather than a tribute.

@NickNorton but you can see the forces at play here, with execs wondering how they can make some return out of the investors money. Doesn’t justify it of course.
