I watched all three episodes of the gripping new documentary series Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke on Disney+ last night.
While I had some prior knowledge of the story, the series offers an eye-opening and deeper look into the family vlogger's spectacular fall from grace. Through unseen footage, interviews with her husband, two eldest children, and neighbors, we gain valuable insights into her transformation from a popular influencer to a convicted child abuser. The documentary explores multiple themes, including narcissistic personality disorder, the dark side of social media, religious fanaticism, coercive control, self-loathing, and horrific abuse.
