@Directors UK have released a report that lays bare the razor's edge on which many directors are currently living:

🔹 The average director gets just 27 weeks of paid work a year.
🔹 78% fear for their financial future in the industry.

Some might frame them as a consequence of an evolving industry. But the report also tells a depressing story of how little the industry has evolved in other crucial areas:

🔹 56% work up to 60-hour weeks, with 31% exceeding that.
🔹 Only 31% of directors are women - down from a just-as-shameful 35% in 2021.
🔹 Disabled directors make up just 6% - a small rise from 4.1% in 2021, but still far from the 24% needed for real representation.

The report doesn’t explicitly address class or race, but I’d be surprised if the picture wasn’t just as bleak there.
