I watched the Amazon Prime Series ‘The Sticky’.
Between 2011 and 2012, $18.7M of Maple Syrup were stolen in a heist.
The disclaimer at the top of each episode tells us in no uncertain terms.. this is not how it went down.
Instead this is well written and quirky comedic drama, based on the idea.
It’s got the feel of an independent production.. and is fun.
However.. the 6 x 30min episode structure do feel a little short.
So much so.. that by the final episode, it’s dawning on you that it’s really not going to conclude. And it has a cliff hanger. I’m not sure how much time I want to invest in this story.
I think it might have done well to give a more viable conclusion.
However.. the actors involved do a great job, including Jamie Lee Curtis making g an appearance in a memorable role.
This is 100% worth watching.. but there is also a good argument for waiting for more series to drop.. and binging a longer story in one go.
Who else has seen it?
