The classic movie, The Towering Inferno had a really interesting poster design problem.

Both ‘Paul Newman’ and ‘Steve McQueen’ wanted top billing. Impossible?

Who should be put first?

The solution..was to put Steve first.. and Paul slightly higher.

This is something that might have just looked like a quirky design choice. But as well all know..most design choices have reasons.

I think they managed to solve a very tricky design brief.
