NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION
I'm nervous to say out loud but my New Year's resolution is to finally get a proper job in documentary / non-fiction. I apply for job after job, but because I have no full-time employment history on my CV, I rarely get an interview and never get the job 😒 I feel like most people get their first 'proper' job because a friend or family member gives it to them. The friend or family member knows them and trusts them, and can take the gamble of giving them their first job. When you have no one in your life who can gift you that opportunity, it feels impossible to get any start at all.
