It’s almost the end of 2024 and I’m taking the time to reflect on all the incredible projects I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this year. In many ways it’s been a difficult year for TV, but I consider myself so privileged to be able to continue to do a job that I love and continue to learn. This year I made my first step up the production ladder from Production Assistant to Production Secretary and look forward to seeing what growth 2025 has in store.

So without further ado, here is my year in TV (wrapped- no pun intended!)

January - we started off with the airing of Series 8 of Grantchester on ITV, my first ever HETV job from 2022, as well as working across a digital series with true crime YouTuber Mollie Westbrook which is now on Crime and Investigation UK. This project allowed me to work both as an on-set assistant as well as trying my hand at edit assisting and research work.

March- we began filming for an incredibly fun consumer series for Channel 5. Highlights included filming at a cat cafe (they say never work with animals but they were great posers!)

April- Secrets of the Lost Liners, a historical archive show launched on Sky History.

June- Trials by Social Media launched on Crime and Investigation.

July- ‘Supermarket Own Brands, the Big Taste Test’ launched on C5.

August- a feature film ‘Black Dog’ which I worked on in 2022 launched to a great reception and I was able to watch it for the first time! Sunken Warships, secrets of the deep also launched its second series on C5.

September- a digital UAE based project with Steve Harvey was released showcasing the lives of some incredible people.

Yesterday on Channel 5, the first episode of a new 6- part series launched of ‘Supermarket Own Brands: The Big Taste Test’ - my first proper Production Secretary credit! The series will continue into the new year!

I am now proud to say I am a Production Secretary working on Police Interceptors!

Thank you to everyone who has worked with me and helped me to learn and grow this year- here’s to another one! I appreciate you all endlessly and am so grateful that I get to wake up every day and do a job I love.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
