Our Grierson DocLab: New Entrants training programme is open for applications, with support from The Rank Foundation 📹
If you’re UK-based, aged 18-25 and passionate about documentaries, but not sure on how to get started, this programme could be just the ticket.
Grierson DocLab: New Entrants will provide up to 12 successful individuals with the skills, confidence and connections to take their first steps into factual TV and documentary making 🎬
We’re looking for candidates interested in exploring a variety of new entrant roles – people who have fresh perspectives, creative ideas and a positive, can-do attitude towards the programme and their career in TV.
You don’t need to have studied media, film or TV to be eligible – and don’t need to have gone to university either – but a demonstrable passion for all things documentary and factual TV is key!

We especially welcome applications from people currently under-represented in the TV industry – with a particular focus this year on those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. So, if you’re from a working-class background, an ethnic minority group, are disabled, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or from outside of London (or any other group that is under-represented), we want to hear from you!
