There have been a few job adverts both on here & elsewhere asking for people with EU passports for filming in Europe. Some saying they only want people with EU passports, others saying that EU passport people will be favoured.
Is this discriminatory?
Given that it's based on nationality ie race. Just wondering about this or has it all changed since we left the EU and possibly, I don't know, we were previously protected by EU law against discriminating racially.
This is distinct and different from those Job adverts asking for an I visa for the US.
Does anyone have any information on this?

1 of 2: This is a tricky one – technically it is “discriminatory”, but it may still be legal. This is similar to advertising for crew or talent based in the regions as opposed to within the M25 – the employer is likely after applicants that allow them to fulfil local workforce quotas or regional funding.
The correct course of action would be to ask the advertiser on what grounds they are seeking/favouring EU-passport holders @AnnetteGordon
1 of 2: It is not illegal to require the right to work - for example, you see jobs advertised for people who have US work permits. If this is what the ads wanted, a "right to work", I would have asked for that rather than a passport.
Similarly, if the production is benefiting from a European fund and therefore requires EU nationals in some roles, then that is understandable/requires too.
