Channel 4 has ordered a spin-off of @True North 's A New Life in the Sun following a tender process for a daytime property format.
A New Life in the Sun: Win a BnB is a 15 x 60-minute series following British couples as they compete to win the keys to a B&B in France. The competitors will be tested over two weeks of heats, as they run French B&Bs for real guests, completing challenges that test their hospitality, culinary and business skills.
Guests will review the couples’ efforts, with judges also including an expert B&B inspector and a former New Life in the Sun contributor who has experience of setting up a business abroad.
Four couples will make it to the final week where they will take turns to run the prize B&B that could be theirs if they succeed in winning the competition.
