It is a great honour to share the news that our project to give representation to British Latin Americans was selected by the initiative Reel Impact, promoted by The Film and TV Charity.
I will be working together with Victor Rios and Film Locos on a year project called Film Locos Hub Project. The Project will boost visibility and access for the British Latam crew in the UK film and TV industry, showcasing their contributions and potential.
We will organise networking events and practical masterclasses.
Film Locos Hub addresses the dual challenges of representation and role-specific industry needs. Many in our community lack the information and resources to enter the industry. And those who are already in don’t seem to know where others like us work. We basically do not see ourselves represented. By providing these assets, we aim to empower Global Majority British crew members and demonstrate that they can achieve their dreams.
So there is work to do.
