With Biden now out of the race, the Democratic party will need a replacement to challenge Trump, however they will very quickly hit problems, as none of their most likely candidates have the comparatively clean record that Biden has.
Let's start with Biden's endorsed candidate and current VPOTUS, Kamala Harris. Her main issue is that she is a race baiter.
For those unaware, a race baiter is someone usually (but not exclusively) of a racial or ethnic minority that uses their minority status to accuse detractors of racism/discrimination (it should be noted that a not insignificant amount of Donald Trump's supporters politically in the independent media are also race baiters) and discredit valid criticism. This is a very unpopular practice and will draw many neutrals away. Another issue is her known exaggeration and lying about various topics (generally not as bad as Trump, but visible) such as when she talked about firearms holding an AR-15 describing it as "extremely heavy" (the gun was skeletonised and AR-15s are deliberately lightweight) while placing her hand on the trigger, a massive safety violation reminiscent of the behaviour of Alec Baldwin that got his cinematographer killed. After the riots in Kenosha which saw a minor attacked by armed rioters who he promptly killed in self defence, Kamala insinuated that the courts were non-functional and that the exoneration of victim Kyle Rittenhouse was some kind of fault (a view that the more popular Biden did not take.) This is destructive to American institutions.
