I think when speed meeting it’d be useful to be able to extend your meeting, rather than it fading away and disconnecting, even just for 30secs so you can exchange emails if you want to be able to stay in touch - by extending for 30secs it’s still a ‘speed meet’ it just allows you to wrap it up neatly.
