What was your experience at the Media Production & Technology Show this week? I got mixed reactions with people more optmistic and those who see that we are not picking up yet...
@MaysaMoncao I didn't go but I'm keen to hear more about some of the optimistic takes? Also what were your favourite sessions?

@SarahLee Hey Sarah. I heard some good news related to #postproduction . It seems that due to the VFX tax rebate new legislation (from April 2025), some productions are engaging VFX vendors earlier in the process, from pre-production. So when April hits us, they can quickly green lit...
My favourite talks were "Freelancers Landscape: What's next?" with Film and TV Charity, Bectu and ScreenSkills speakers, and "Virtual Production Stu & a Sustainable Future"

@MaysaMoncao I thought it was positive overall, and it was reaffirming to hear loads of people comment on just how bad the industry is at the moment. I’m a freelance PM/Producer and have really struggled to find work (as so many of us are), so to hear talks from other senior creatives acknowledging that really made a difference; I was starting to internalise some of the rejection.
Agreed on the ‘Freelancer Landscape’ talk being one of the best, I sat in on the ‘State of the Nation: Production’ talk which was awesome too.
