INSIGHTS cont...Stillbirth and pregnancy termination are far more common than we think, and when it came to discussing broadcasting these with our contributors, they all expressed the importance in sharing their stories in order to break the social silence surrounding these issues. I always knew but really witnessed how nature really is in charge, which is incredibly humbling. I learnt that the human spirit truly is indomitable and we are all stronger than we think.

TEAM I have been working at Wonderhood for 2 years now and was made staff in September last year, after having been freelance for nearly 20 years. I love working with them – it feels like I’ve finally found my home. They are like my family and everyone is kind, respectful and also believes passionately in what we do and why we do it. Given my experience in making medical series, this felt like a natural first project at Wonderhood for me to look after.

TEAM cont...Channel 4 were incredibly supportive of our approach and our ideas- no VO, mothers narrating their own stories- and really got behind us all the way from start to finish. It was a really uplifting, humbling and powerful experience making this series.

TOP TIP Surround yourself with people who you respect and want to work with. Life is too short to work with people who will trample over you to get to the top. It is all about trust. We all trusted and respected each other enormously on our team which made for a more rewarding and productive creative process.

@KatharinePatrick thanks ever so for sharing . I look forward to watching. I remember years ago filming with SANDS and families who had experienced Still Births over 20yrs before but hadn't properly grieved. It was heart wrenching.
