Like you Daniela, I dislike the way people & politicians are allowed to launder their reputations in the name of entertainment and ratings. But I’m not sure freelancers or Indies can be expected to boycott a network after the most difficult year professionally most have ever experienced. Better simply to write into Kevin Lygo et al at ITV, pointing out in particular the costs to the industry & feelancers caused by Brexit.

@MattBorn what you say is true. However Brexit isn’t what I was thinking about. It’s that he’s an overtly racist and xenophobic far right politician who has been rewarded for his views by being paid a ridiculous amount of money. It’s about speaking out against what he stands for, and those that support him by giving him a platform and a salary.

I've made a complaint to Ofcom. The more I think about this, and read about it, the more enraged I get. What executive thought it was a good idea to green light him for an entertainment programme?? ITV need to apologise for this grave error in judgement. And take back the £1.4 million to invest in supporting diversity in the industry.
