Some folks might remember a while back when I mentioned that a UK based producer had utilized my documentary, 'GI Says' as a research artifact for their own series in development - even reaching out to the subject of my film and arranging a prelim interview - without even contacting the filmmaker (not even to say 'hi'', or anything informal like that) I undertook a poll and most folks stated that was in poor form for the producer and production company. I later contacted the company and series producer, stating I would like to claim a research credit (*something that wasn't offered), since they used my film in their research. That series producer hemmed and hawed, etc, and never really proactively dealt with the situation. Anyway, here's the info on that company and persons involved... I was hoping that might sort things out proactively by now (but not to be), as I reached out to them cordially numerous times, without any response. ** Project: a six-part documentary series about the Vietnam War for international distribution | Producer: Natacha Brounais | Series Producer: Caroline Marsden | Company: 72 Films | That's about it :) Producers out there: if you use someone else's work as a research artifact, kindly reach out to that project owner also, it's the right thing to do even if not always mandated on a granular level. PS - we still have our own expanded Vietnam War project in development, contact with inquiries!
