What Did Amy Watch Last Night: Big Brother

I’ve been so excited for BB's return. And despite having spent the entire weekend in bed full of cold I wasn’t going to miss it last night. Whilst the launch didn’t disappoint, I’m not sure whether I’ll keep tuning in…

Last night’s series opener was glorious:

- AJ + Will smashed it.
- I love the house – it’s so bright and colourful and I adore it.
- The diary room chair is incredible.
- And most importantly, the cast are phenomenal – such a wonderfully diverse bunch of amazing people. I want to know them all.

I was disappointed it wasn’t live, but that’s mainly because at 9.58pm when the VO said “It’s 10.53pm in the BB House” my bubble burst, I’d been convinced I’d been watching live arrivals for the past hour. What a fool!

But the moment that made me think I’ll probably pass this year, was when Big Brother kicked in and started to stir the pot… that’s when it dawned on me that all these brilliant people aren’t just going to live together nicely for however many weeks… there are going to be fireworks!

I know full well that drama is what makes this show work. Once upon a time I LIVED for the BB dramz. But I don’t think that’s what I want to watch right now. Maybe it’s this sodding cold that I can’t shake off, or perhaps it’s the sorry state of the TV industry that’s making me crave more comforting telly. What I do know is I’m gutted because I know it’s going to be an epic series.

What did you think? Will you be watching?
