Hardcash Productions & Channel 4 should be applauded for their handling of the shocking stories in tonight's Dispatches investigation. Kudos to producer/director @AliceMcShane and her team

A compelling and shocking watch. Massive respect to all the women who spoke out.

Much respect to the victims for speaking out. - A chilling and an incredibly well told story. - I've always felt utter repulsion for Russell Brand, I've always found him a crass, vulgar, banal egomaniac and most certainly not funny. Shows like these make you wonder how many more Saviles, Weinsteins and Brands are we going to have to stomach in order to reach a much needed culture change on how so called "celebrities" are allowed to get away with.

1.8m viewers on the night, making it the best-performing Dispatches in seven years - and biggest ever share for the strand

Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable with the trial by television nature of this thou? It feels inheritantly wrong that C4 had social media in a whirl in the run up, capitalising on the horrendous events. It reminds me of how I felt when a BBC News notification encouraged me to "watch live the moment Lucy Letby was arrested'. So saIacious. I haven't watched the programme yet so I might change my mind but surely running events this way partly hands some moral highground back to Brand?.

It is uncomfortable thinking of a trial by TV, @SarahLee, but if the powers that be are not taking action to improve standards, then maybe the platform that feeds the zeitgeist is an option to address the issues!

It's a bigger issue than just Brand. This issues goes across all the broadcasters and indies. They put the lives of female staff on the line. It's time for all of these to come clean. There need to be proper internal reviews across the board.

Surely it's not just about putting female staff on the line, but about people in power thinking they are beyond reach when it comes to poor behaviour.
