Wondering if anyone has tips to share re: independent film productions. Rather than the usual freelance gig, this job would involve fundraising part of the budget and receiving back-end points in exchange (and working on crew.) I've not done this before so I'm not sure how enthusiastic I can be on behalf of a project that isn't mine creatively. I'll be speaking with the producers soon and plan to ask them, but I'm uncertain about this aspect and wanted to ask others that have done this before.

@IolandaNeto have you checked out the company/ people who are offering you this gig? Most films never see a profit, so the promise of a back-end payday may be more dream than prospect.

@MattBorn Yes, I've worked with one and enjoyed doing so. That's what I was assuming as well, I wouldn't expect to make much from it.
