The Africa Centre is a London-based charity that champions African art and culture. In 2022 they were looking to create content that appealed to a younger demographic to drive traffic to their new building. As part of that program, I was tasked with creating a short mini-documentary highlighting the stories and struggles of a young black person in the UK. My key role was as the co-director and DOP, but before the project began I was tasked with assembling the rest of the crew and finding the talent. Throughout the project, I was also responsible for overseeing the director's creative decisions and checking with the producers to ensure all aspects of the project were on schedule and within budget.
