I've been actively working on building a website so I can offer data archival services to clients. Archival is distinct from backups in that they are reserved for long-term storage of "cold data" that isn't in active use. It helps protect it from ransomware attacks and can help free up hard drives that end up sitting on shelves.

There's a plan to work with different industries but the biggest priorities are film, television, and corporate video production companies. Mostly because they routinely generate the most data and require holding onto it indefinitely.

The logistics of how data is received and tapes sent back has been arranged. So I'm looking forward to formally introducing the service.
