‘Jersey & Guernsey’ is on Channel 5 at 8pm tonight!
I really enjoyed working as the Location Researcher on this Daisybeck Studios documentary. This documentary is narrated by Alan Titchmarsh MBE and explores the breath-taking beauty of Jersey & Guernsey and celebrates proud family history.
During this production I not only was able to develop my on-location experience, working with a large variety of contributors, but I also had the opportunity to assist the Series Producer and Edit Producers with fact-checking, archive research and writing voice-over narration which covered historical events. I loved applying my knowledge and interest in history, particularly when independently meeting the founder of the Channel Islands’ Military Museum and going through the museum’s archive to find and select photos of Jersey’s occupation and liberation which will be shown during one of the episodes.
Throughout filming I also worked as the Publicity Stills Photographer and it is great to see that Channel 5 have used my stills for the programme’s TX Card and advertisement.
