So I applied for a runners role and got to the interview stage and had a zoom meeting with the interviewer, and I think I screwed up by saying that I had just come off a Casting Researcher role and this industry dry spell has meant I am applying for Runners roles and I am feeling like my career is going backwards again.

She didn't pick me for the role but she said she had spoken to other people in her company and gave me their emails to contact them to maybe see if they need someone in the future. I had been struggling to motivate myself and was considering giving up the industry altogether until this act of kindness from someone in the industry.

Its a weird time to be in TV, and I've just spent my last rent money but I am more enthused now and hopefully things will pick up from now. So my point is please pay it forward and do what you can to help people through this tough time.
