@SarahLee In part; so far the major UK company is unresponsive to my outreach, but they've cited my Vietnam themed short docu as part of their development research, and stated as much to the participant of my doc, who they then conducted their own preliminary interview with. I learned all only through the participant of my docu, they never reached out to me at all. I've reached out to them with a decent letter, but so far, there has been no response (after 1.5 months)

I wasn't sure if this was normal behavior in the industry, if I was over reacting, or if this were just the 'UK way of working', so I made the poll to gain perspective. Yes, the results are telling and unanimous. Will keep you all posted if they do (or don't ) reach out in a normal way at some point.

* Separately, but related: I've been developing this Vietnam War themed project for some time and have been seeking to expand it further. The fact that that company was inspired to incorporate my topic and subject into their multi-part series (per admission of their producer) means, on an objective level - aside from everything else - that my project has promise in an expanded context, per the evaluation of that third party. Kindly spread the word that I'm seeking partners and collabs!
