As Archive Assistant Producer on Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders, I have been sourcing and clearing the most shocking dash camera footage from the public, whilst also liaising directly with officers from the Cheshire Police Roads & Crime Unit to secure additional media to incorporate into the stories. The footage from Bodycam, Police In-Car cameras and the police helicopter significantly raises the stakes in the narrative and give a real ‘blockbuster’ edge to the show, as you will see from the get go in Episode 1!

Delivering this footage across 5 edits simultaneously has at times been challenging, but the amazing team around me has been supportive. It sounds like an old cliché but working on this show really is a team effort, everyone is ready to get stuck in and the dedication to make this the best show possible is really inspiring. I’ve always felt like I’m an integral part of the ‘Motorway Cops’ machine and that my role is really valued, this is why Purple is a truly wonderful place to work!

I hope you all enjoy the series!

P.S. – If you have a dash camera and want to submit your clips, please get in touch!
