What is the best camera to train on?

Added 3 years ago

Which half-decent, widely-used camera would you advise a junior researcher to learn on? Ideally, something indies use for sizzles, casting, and maybe an additional camera on location shoots. In my day, it was the PD150, Z1 & Hi8, but that's back in the silent era. Thanks, Richard

Hi Richard - how are you?!
My favourite camera gurus seem to swear by either the Canon M50 mark II, Canon 250D or Sony ZV-E10 as great for learning on, entry point cameras.
Also, you probably already know this but they can get them much cheaper second hand at cex.co.uk as grade A or Grade B - had fantastic service from them. Hope this helps!!!

The workflow on Blackmagic's pocket cinema range (I recommend the 6k pro 1st generation for lens choices) changed my life.
