Had the rare privilege to direct the most taleted team of artists, creatives, technicians and crew for this project and it shows.
This is The Letter, a one continuous take short film. It is based on Andrė Weller's story of how he was inspired by Carlos Acosta, the famous cuban ballet dancer, to persue a career in ballet.
The film 🏆 won the @DirectorsUK @Arri Trinity challenge competition and was showcased in the 2019 Arri anual showreel. The film has gone on to screen multiple festivals worldwide.
With the support of the BFI Young Audiences Content Fund we developed and pitched a program story based on this concept and following up Andre's story to several UK broadcasters but sadly they did not show interest to commission and produce the long form.
