I’m now available for opportunities/leads starting right now until the middle of June. Looking to gain more filming and directing experience.
Now we’ve got the short TLDR statement out the way…I want to give you all an update as to what I’ve been working on and what’s coming next.
Just finished my latest contract at BBC Wales after 7 months, editing programme content for their social feeds. I’ve worked on a range of projects including the BAFTA Winning drama ‘In My Skin’ as well as true crime and reality TV shows.
Alongside this work I managed to get down to S4C to complete the NFTS Cymru Wales Advanced camera course led by Stephen Hart. Had a great opportunity to use the FS7 and FX9 as well as lighting setups and shooting for both the edit and live work.
Just completed another course at the USW, their Propaganda and Persuasion module, only just submitted my final essay today too! (fingers crossed) This is a part of a suite of courses I’ve completed on the Pathways to a degree in Journalism. Still undecided about doing a 2nd degree (already have a degree in Documentary Film and TV) but it’s hugely beneficial to revisit a foundational understanding of journalism.
Have continued my mentorship with Bectu and producer-Director John Hunter, offering his experience and advice in helping me focus my career.
Speaking of which what’s coming next?
Well I’m heading to London next month to complete my User Certification using Avid finally! Followed by a new client and new project
