Further to BECTU's release of unscripted freelancer rates and the subsequent debate that is happening about whether these rates are reflective of the industry or not, we thought it might be helpful to also remind our TM community about our Ratechecker - free for all to use - where you can anonymously add rates you've been paid in previous jobs and, in turn, then reliably check rates on future new work to better negotiate your own pay. The idea is also that then our data can be used to monitor the impact of industry issues, COVID and other factors on freelancer pay.

This is such a helpful tool for people (19K rates have been added so far) but please do contribute as the more contributions, the better it will work.
