It was little over a year ago that we filmed series 1 of The Bidding Room, but since then we’ve already shot and aired a second series and found a home on both BBC1 and BBC2 (sometimes going out on both channels on the same day.) Nigel and our team of extremely talented dealers have really made a connection with the 2 million plus viewers (many of whom are also members of a very active community on a Facebook where dealers and fans chat with great exuberance!)

It was a delight and an honour to be amongst the nominees for an RTS award this year and we’re thrilled to be filming a third series this spring. Thanks so much to @JeremyRieder and @SamoraTikly for agreeing to take part in this Q&A. Both are very talented Shooting APs who worked on the second series, so should be able to answer all your most searching questions.

@RobertButterfield Thank you Rob! The Bidding Room was such a lovely show to work on, I’m really glad it’s been doing so well!

Really fun show @JeremyRieder and @SamoraTikly! How many items do you tend to film in a day?
Jeremy Rieder
@ShabnamNasrollahi Hi Shabnam, great question! For the first series we were filming 12 items a day, which is A LOT! It’s so impressive to see how everything works on location, a very tight schedule with many cogs all working together... We reduced it to 10 items a day for the second series, due to COVID measures which involved cleaning of the set between items etc.
