Zig Zag has hired the founder of Channel 5’s in-house production arm to head its development strategy.
David Arrowsmith joins the factual indie in the newly-created role of director of development, adding to a tally of indies on his CV that includes Darlow Smithson Productions, October Films and Oxford Scientific Films.
He joined C5 in 2011 as head of development, and later executive produced shows such as Britain’s Biggest Bank Job.
Meanwhile, Sarah McQueen rejoins the indie as head of production, having recently worked for Naked, Windfall Films and GTV Docs following an extended maternity leave.
She began on The Apprentice at TalkbackThames and has also worked at Raw.
Former head of production Wendi Rose has joined Lime Pictures as a production executive.
Zig Zag’s recent shows include YouTube Original Raise Your Game with Gareth Southgate and Channel 4 series The Garms Dealer.
