Bad Sisters executive producer Kathryn Shrubb has joined World Productions as head of development, taking over from Emma Luffingham.

Shrubb, whose credits also include Three Girls, Silent Witness and Luther, will work with writers and creative partners, and development execs Laura Cotton and George Aza-Selinger, to expand the ITV Studios-owned company’s slate.

She has previously worked in development at Fulwell 73, Pure Fiction TV, Two Rivers Media and fellow ITV Studios drama indie Tall Story Pictures.

Meanwhile, Luffingham has joined French producer Pathé as its UK creative director to spearhead the company’s English-language content push.

In six years at World, she executive produced dramas including ITV’s Malpractice and Karen Pirie and BBC1’s Showtrial.

At Pathé, Luffingham will work closely with co-chief executive Faith Penhale, the former Lookout Point managing director who has been with the company since 2022.

Also joining World is executive producer Joe Williams, who previously worked on ITV Studios titles Mr Bates vs the Post Office and The Hack.
