The TV Foundation has unveiled its 25 ‘Visionaries’ – the successor to its Ones to Watch programme of diverse new talent.
The mixture of freelancers and individuals working for companies such as Quay Street Productions, IWC Media and South Shore, will attend the Edinburgh TV Festival as part of a year-long programme of activity.
Almost three quarters (72%) of the Visionaires are women, 64% come from Black, Asian and other minority backgrounds, and 32% has a disability.
Meanwhile, execs from All3Media, ITV Studios, BBC Children’s and Nine Lives Media are among the 10 established TV professionals that will explore how the industry can play a role in tackling climate change in this year’s iteration of the TV Foundation’s Changemakers scheme.
