Camera Assistant

RAW TV are looking for Junior Camera Operators and/or Camera Assistants to operate a robust Minicams Setup on location from mid May to mid October.
Stints are up to 8 weeks in duration on location in the Yukon.
You must be able to drive
The minicams operator is responsible for all in cab shooting. Setting the cameras, recorders and timecode and monitoring regularly.
In addition a number of GoPros also need to be rigged to capture imaginative exterior shots.
The minicams operator works closely with all members of production to make sure that the action and the story are covered throughout the day and to give the edit numerous options to tell the story.
Responsibility for collecting and documenting the media at the end of the day and working closely with the AP’s to enable them to include the details of minicam media in their story notes.
Carrying out basic maintenance to make sure that all equipment is in good condition and fully prepped for the next day’s filming.
Checking kit in and out and providing handover at the end of contract.
Ideally have experience of working on similar projects for The Discovery Channel or US Broadcasters
