Lambent Productions
About Us
Lambent is an RTS-winning and BAFTA-nominated Production Company based in Brighton.
Broadcasters look to Lambent to open doors, reveal the unexpected, and get to the heart of human stories in a way that others can’t. Our programmes are known for their access to extraordinary people and hidden worlds, reaching viewers in unexpected ways - whether it’s through a sensitively told feature doc for Channel 5 that allows survivors to speak on their own terms, a history series for ITV bringing the untold stories of WW1 alive through the cast of Britain’s most popular soap, or by capturing the creation of cutting edge dance music as it happens for a global UHD channel. We are truly diverse, making programmes with warmth, integrity and creativity across every factual genre.
Set up in 1996 by Emma Wakefield and now co-managed with Ollie Tait, Lambent has produced over 500 hours of factual programmes and series. We take huge pride in our strong relationships with all our contributors and the teams who help us make our shows. Trust, understanding and a shared vision off-screen is the key to making extraordinary stories on-screen. We also value our collaborations, working closely with other producers in the UK and US, distributors and talent to create new formats. Our programmes have sold to over 90 countries around the world.
