Firecrest Films is an award winning independent television production company with a strong reputation for powerful documentaries, high impact factual programmes and outstanding journalism.
We have been nominated as one of the best small indies in the UK at the Edinburgh TV Festival Awards for the last two years (2020 and 2021). In 2020 and 2019 we were listed as one of the best companies to work for in TV by Broadcast magazine. The 2018 Broadcast Indie Survey named us the fastest growing production company outside London. In January 2017 Channel 4 took an investment stake in Firecrest, through their Indie Growth Fund.
Our output ranges from fact ent formats to award winning documentaries, all packed with content and revelation. It includes the critically acclaimed BBC Scotland / BBC TWO documentary series Murder Case and Murder Trial, returning BBC ob doc series Paramedics On Scene, and a range of high rating Channel 4 consumer titles including Supershoppers, Inside John Lewis and Secrets of Amazon.
We currently have a range of films and series in production, including series for the BBC and Channel 4, high profile single films, current affairs investigations, specialist factual series and returning formats.
We're based in the stunning Fairfields building in Govan, Glasgow.
