About Us

Firecrest Films is an independent television producer with an outstanding reputation for award-winning factual programmes. We make ambitious films and series for major UK broadcasters and streamers from our home in the stunning Fairfields building in Govan, Glasgow.

In the last two years we've won more than a dozen awards for our output. In 2002 We were named the best small indie in the UK at the Edinburgh TV Festival.

We are known as a company that supports and invests in our staff, and grows new talent. We've been named one of the best companies to work for in TV by Broadcast magazine five years running. Broadcast has also cited Firecrest as the fastest growing independent TV company outside London and last year we were named as one of the best companies in the Uk for new talent.

Our output ranges from fact ent formats to award winning documentaries, all packed with content and revelation. Our premium documentary output includes multi-award winning series like Murder Case, Murder Trial, and The Hunt For Bible John - all for the BBC, and the award-winning Three Mothers, Two Babies and A Scandal for Amazon. Our returning ob docs include 9pm series Highland Cops and Paramedics On Scene - both for the BBC, and our factual series include the ratings hit Michael Palin: Travels of a Lifetime.

We are also known for our high rating consumer series, which include Luxury For Less (Channel 4), Secrets of the Middle Aisle and Secrets of the Supermarket Own Brands with Denise Van Outen (C4) , Primark / Burger King / Subway / Toby Carvery - How Do They Do It? (4 x 60 Channel 5) and eight series of Supershoppers for Channel 4.

We also make single documentaries including the recent hit BBC single Liar - The Fake Grooming Scandal, C4 film The Welsh Valley That Won The Lottery, and award winning current affairs investigations like The Truth About Nike and Adidas.
