About Us

Mosaic Films is a well-established documentary production company with a proud history of making award-winning creative documentaries in the UK and throughout the world.

Mosaic Films have produced documentaries for all of the major UK broadcasters and many major international broadcasters, government agencies, NGOs and the corporate sector. They are known for pioneering new techniques in documentary filmmaking, and for producing films that are innovative in subject matter and style.

They pioneered the use of animated documentaries in the UK with the award-winning series Animated Minds (Channel 4 and Teachers TV), aimed at addressing the taboos surrounding mental health. To date, the series has won over 20 Awards, including a Mental Health Media Award, a BAFTA Children’s Award, an RTS Education Award and the City of Basel Prize for Educational Films. Their recent series, Seeking Refuge (BBC Learning; 2012), has also won a BAFTA and has screened at festivals around the world, including LA, IDFA and the Bradford Animation Festival.
