Andi Reiss

About Us

Andi Reiss is an award winning independent documentary producer/director, editor and photographer. He is also a writer, digital multimedia conceptualist, audio designer, abstract painter and cartoonist. Thriving to bring uncompromising stories to the screen, since 1993, he been immersed in the independent media industry, working across platforms. He has travelled extensively on assignments and shoots, is creative, collaborative, enterprising and has a track record of working on in-depth, complex investigations, whilst being confident working autonomously. He is also an educator and associate lecturer at university, is on the jury for the Queens World Film Festival, and is a member of ScreenTalk Oxfordshire.

Additionally Andi has produced, directed, shot and edited a number of drama projects, commercials, corporates, music videos and experimental installations, and is currently exploring alternative content, from 360 video to room-scale interactive VR, and how technology can augment a well-told story to create ever more impactful experiences.



Key credentials:-

confident with most standard industry equipment (F55, FS7, C300, Panasonic GH5, BM Ursa Mini, PMW200-300, XF305, 5D etc) to a broadcast level, and also on high grade cinematic lenses and in 4K.
precise with research, with a strong mixed methodology for extensive investigation.
experienced and versatile in finance development, proposal writing, production management, casting, location management, storyboarding, budgeting and scheduling.
an associate member of the BFE (British Film Editors Guild) and has a studio with Avid, Adobe Creative Suite, Da Vinci Resolve, Audition and all graphics software.
able to create storyboards & mood boards, animated graphics, posters, flyers online banners and digital art.
a doodler of cartoons and caricatures, sometimes painting things and occasionally doing graffiti, all legally of course.
keen to share knowledge and experience with aspiring talent, as a University Associate Lecturer and freelance course writer and tutor.
honoured to have been on the jury at the Queens World Film Festival in New York since 2018.
a Trustee for the mental health charity Oxfordshire Mind.
a team member of ScreenTalk Oxfordshire.
a dad, and a personal ATM by nature to the best eight year old boy in the world.

Andi’s post production and vo recording studio in Oxford has a self-contained Annex apartment available so you can stay whilst editing. The studio (with Andi editing) is charged at £180 per day or £700 per week, with the Annex at £65 per night or £350 per week.
