Alfredo De Lara is an award-winning cinematographer with strong field logistics skills and global editorial experience. His work has been recognized six times by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and been honored with two of broadcast journalism's top prizes - the George Foster Peabody and the Alfred I. DuPont Awards.His portfolio includes extensive war zone and conflict reportage - investigative documentary films - and current affairs news assignments in over 70 countries worldwide. De Lara's resourcefulness, self-sufficiency and problem solving abilities have been proven under the most difficult circumstances & beyond cultural divides for over two decades.De Lara has been a creative force behind several "long-term disaster recovery" film projects for US television, including CNN's special coverage of the Hurricane Katrina aftermath and Al Jazeera's coverage of the 2010 Earthquake in Port-au-Prince Haiti. Where he spent 15 months looking into the issues of corruption in long term recovery efforts.His recent work has been primarily on documentary series for television. He worked on several films throughout 2009 during the Coup in Honduras, and again during the political crisis in Venezuela (2009-10). He was deployed to Somalia during the famine of 2011-12, Ukraine annexation crisis of 2015, the 2106 US Presidential Elections, and hurricanes of 2017 in Houston, The Florida Keys and Puerto Rico.
