I also created two documentaries one of which is about women getting in touch with prisoners all over the world and the other about the LGBTQ community in Israel. I have been editing videos for different platforms and developing a new documentary idea, as well as creating different narratives to attract different audiences. I have worked in both in France and in the UK, as well as in Israel for a few months, which helped me understand different audiovisual landscapes.A little bit about my background: after several years working in the French TV industry and studying cinema as well as new media, I decided to leave France and study journalism in the UK and attended a Masters degree in TV Journalism at Goldsmiths University.I have always been passionate about TV. I grew up watching Friends, Absolutely Fabulous, Seinfeld and Dream On. Beyond TV shows, I am also passionate about documentaries, this is why I decided early on to put my video editing and narrative skills at work. After my Masters, I went back to France to start working as a writing coordinator on a French TV show. That helped me discover different kinds of writing, and also how to work with different teams as I was the communicating ‘tool’ between the production team, the channel, the set and the writers. I succeeded in managing different teams. At that time, I also started working as a journalist for Tastemade France. This allowed me to move back to the UK and become a Snapchat Producer at PinkNews, a leading LGBT+ publication. After almost a year, I was promoted Senior Producer. I am now Deputy Production Editor. I have been responsible for their Snapchat channel since I started and have learnt a lot. I have also edited video projects for all the digital platforms we have such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and Youtube, worked closely with the head of production and even worked on budgets for potential TV projects.I have been working in digital for a while now and I have gained a lot of experience but my real love is in TV. I love researching for a programme, working with team, organising shoots, and production overall. All the best,
Nina Lecourt
