Hi! I’m Ben, a BAFTA Nominated comedy / entertainment series producer. I’ve written, scripted, produced and show-run a host of acclaimed comedy shows for TV and online, as well as leading development teams in a career spanning well over a decade.  

I'm perhaps best known as the writer, producer and performer of both E4’s hidden camera series Bad Robots and of CITV’s comedy/ gameshow drama Spy School. in recent years, my speciality has remained entertainment shows, most notably in the hidden camera genre leading projects including American prank show "Revenge Prank" and "What the Aitch" as well as domestic shows including "Kids Behaving Badly", "Nightmare B&B" and "Bad Baby" for MTV, Snapchat  channel 4, channel 4.0 respectively.

I proved myself to be an adept producer of remote content during the COVID crisis, overseeing four shows for Sky Kids, including Clam Brain with Frankie Bridge and the "Ultimate" series with Blue Peter's Joel M. Each production was run remotely, under strict social distancing and achieved without any issues. Whilst the pandemic is long behind us, these skills in managing large scale productions in a flexible, remote manner, remain a strong suit of mine.

I am no stranger to producing overseas, having filmed all over the globe, from the depths of the Brazilian rainforest to large scale studio filming in Hollywood. I have very few commitments in the UK and am always happy to travel and expand my horizons through work. 

My grounding in TV and entertainment saw me begin in-house at BBC Comedy where I learnt my trade. In that time I worked on shows such as The Thick of It, Miranda, Watson & Oliver, The Stephen K Amos Show, Coming of Age, Dead Boss. Moving on to freelance work, I worked for a number of comedy and entertainment companies, developing and pitching to a wide variety of broadcasters, such as Objective Productions, CPL, Spelthorne CT, Monkey Kingdom, Future Studios and more.

As a producer and writer I secured a number of commissions and development funding, with two of my series being recommissioned past S1. I am extremely comfortable directing and have a wealth of experience in offline editing. 

I excel at working up projects from conception to commission. I’m very experienced in running ideas rooms, summarising and pitching strands to execs and then onto channel as well as turning around low budget, high quality tasters and sizzle reels.
