I am a multi-skilled video editor with significant experience working as a director and self-shooter. I have recently returned from three years working in Kenya directing and editing a presenter led farming make-over TV series for Citizen TV. Prior to this I’ve spent 15 years directing, filming and editing a huge variety of programmes both for BBC World News and for many international NGO’s, charities and international agencies. As a filmmaker I have traveled to many parts of the developing world making over 30 single subject half hour documentaries and a great deal more 5 to 10 minute short films. Subjects have included HIV Nurses in Zambia, climate resilient crop breeding, sea-level rise in the South Pacific, conflict resolution in Turkana and protecting coral reefs in the Arctic. Many of these programmes I filmed myself, and on all of them I worked as the offline and online video editor, a role I have undertaken for around 25 years – editing my own productions and for other people. Most of this work has been involved with environment, development and humanitarian issues, and I have built many relationships with key decision makers in these areas. I’ve also worked with a wide variety of public figures, ranging from Sir David Attenborough and Sir Nicholas Stern to Harrison Ford and Annie Lennox. However my passion is editing. I have used a great variety of software, including Avid, FCPX and Resolve. But my software of choice is the Adobe suite, with which I am highly proficient. Including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Audition. I often grade using DaVinci Resolve. Read Less
