I am an experienced, creative storyteller. I made over 300 short science and technology documentaries for Daily Planet at Discovery Channel Canada. Prior to Discovery I worked at Quirks and Quarks, the national radio science show at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I have written for New Scientist and Equinox magazines, and am currently writing articles for CBC's Nature of Things website. My science writing philosophy: "dumbing down" is an insult to audiences. A science writer should compliment them, with clarity and accuracy. No purple prose. Images should speak for themselves. Picture, audio, music and word should flow in a single stream. Read Less
