Ben is an award-winning Freelance Filmmaker, Director and Cinematographer based in Leeds, UK, but also has bases in Manchester, Newcastle and London. He also works as a Self-Shooting PD on documentaries. 

Ben’s directing debut film, STAN, a documentary short, screened at numerous film festivals across the UK and Europe, including Sheffield Doc Fest in 2018. It also won the Yorkshire Short Film Award at Leeds International Film Festival 2017. Since then he has had several short documentaries at numerous film festivals around the world.  

Ben also works as a Cinematographer and Camera Operator. His most recent films include the multi award winning short documentary, 'Hanging On' directed by Alfie Barker, Boiler Room short documentary ‘Soft Boy Forever: An Irish Hip Hop Story’ and the two seasons of Amazon Prime docu-series ‘Take Us Home: Leeds United’.

His credit list also includes films for Adidas, G.F Smith, BFI, The National Lottery, Turner Prize, ITV, Manchester International Festival and Newcastle United amongst others.

Bens work spans across numerous platforms, from music videos, fiction films and commercials, but his main passion lies in documentary. With a spirit of honesty and humour, and a relentless curiosity about people and filmmaking, he hopes to create powerful content that tell stories which engage, entertain and enlighten universal audiences.
